Circular Creating – Bo Faux Taxidermy

Personally me and my family love to be creative and enjoy visiting Artists during the North East Open Studios (NEOS) celebration. This year one studio really caught our imagination – Bo Faux Taxidermy! Its ok – be curious about the name, faux = fake, its fine. The Artist (Gina) creates with waste and wow some beautiful creations too. From a business formed during lock-down she is now offering some fantastic pieces made from items such as hand-bag off cuts that would have been heading into the waste stream. See a picture of one of the creations below.

As we move into a more circular economy with our businesses, and keep resources in use for longer – what could are you currently producing as a waste? and what innovation or partnership project could you come up with to use the waste as resource?

NEOS is finished for this year although many studios do allow pre arranged visits – I encourage you to visit a local artist and see if Art can inspire you in any way.
