First Aberdeen People Planet Pastry

Yesterday was the first People Planet Pastry event in Aberdeen and we had a great meet up with some familiar faces from community action and made new connections who are involved in Wave energy & storage, 0% to landfill waste management, leadership coaching, mentoring & innovation investment and sustainable property management.

The discussions ranged from the pitch/Unique Selling Point (USP) of waste reduction, how individual actions can seem frustratingly small but the collective effect is significant, along with tiny house/shipping container conversion for genuinely nice accommodation, a possible solution to the housing shortage.

There was also discussion around the Aberdeen redevelopment project and how ESG was being incorporated, with several of the attendees already engaging on this project hopefully this will be a regular PPP topic as the project develops.  There was even a thought about People Planet Pint sponsorship or hosting on a Tall Ship when they come to Aberdeen in 2025! What do you think Adam?

We hosted our meet at Food Story, Aberdeen with yummy cakes and coffees.  It was the first time for meeting my co-hosts Kirsten & Hazel in person, great to share the role with you as we bring People Planet Pastry & Pint in the North East! The next event for the three of us is COPPP28 on Thursday 7th Dec.  Please register for the upcoming PPP events through Eventbrite and come join the conversations.
